On a walk through some local farmland I came upon a swarm of Australian native bees feeding from a macadamia tree. Australia has over 1500 species of native bees. The bees in this clip are stingless so I felt confident to place the recorder inside the tree’s foliage. When the recording is amplified it’s possible to hear the “drip” of tiny petals falling onto the leaves as they are displaced by the bees.
